1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using OurCrib, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

OurCrib is a household management app that helps housemates coordinate shared living. Features include:

• Expense tracking and bill splitting
• Chore management and rotation
• Shared shopping lists
• Household calendar and events
• Announcements and household communication
• Vibe checks and nudges
• AI-powered receipt scanning

3. Account Registration & Security

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at hello@cribapp.au if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Household Membership

OurCrib organises users into households. Each household has admin and member roles. By joining a household, you acknowledge that other members of that household will be able to see shared data including expenses, chores, shopping lists, calendar events, and announcements. Admins may have additional permissions such as managing members and household settings.

5. Financial Features Disclaimer

OurCrib is not a financial service, bank, or payment processor. Bill splitting and balance calculations within the app are informational tools designed to help housemates track shared expenses. OurCrib does not process payments — users are responsible for settling debts outside the app through their own preferred payment methods.

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that financial calculations are error-free. You should verify amounts independently before settling debts.

6. Receipt Scanning Disclaimer

OurCrib uses AI-powered optical character recognition (OCR) to extract information from receipt images. This feature is provided as a convenience and is not guaranteed to be accurate. Always review and confirm extracted details before saving an expense. OurCrib is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect receipt parsing.

7. User Content & Conduct

You are responsible for all content you create within OurCrib, including announcements, comments, nudges, and other communications. You agree not to:

• Use OurCrib to harass, bully, or intimidate other household members
• Post offensive, abusive, or illegal content
• Misuse features like nudges or announcements to spam or disturb others
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or accounts
• Use the app for any purpose other than household management

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to OurCrib — including its design, code, branding, and content — are owned by Mitchell Graham or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app without prior written permission.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in abusive behaviour, or use the app in a way that harms other users or the service.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

OurCrib is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OurCrib and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or financial losses arising from incorrect expense calculations, receipt parsing errors, or any other use of the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of OurCrib after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
